After the launch of ¨Demo¨ (Warner, 2008) and after suffering changes in their original formation, The Cabriolets have published ¨Close¨ (Warner, 2010). Transformed into a quartet after the incorporation of Manuel Cabezalí (Havalina) and Pablo Serrano (Lacara), guitarist and drummer, respectively, and together with Bimba Bosé and Diego Postigo, they face a new stage with renewed energies.
The group of four encourages the new repertoire, which comes from a spontaneous, rather than premeditated, form of composition that searches for immediacy and force of direction. The album has practically been composed in the rehearsal spot, with the intention of providing a live, uninterrupted process…
The new album of The Cabriolets maintains the live energy, recorded practically in one of the first takes, composed almost in its totality for drums, base, guitar, voice and with the collaboration of extra instruments (piano, accordion, flute and voices) from Charlie Bautista. The result is a new Cabriolet sound that, without any doubt, will surprise you.
